Review on πŸŽ„ Efficient Elf Stor Ornament Storage: 64 Ball Capacity Chest with Dividers in Red by Mike Krzywicki

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very strong, well made, high quality for very SMALL decorations

5 stars for STOCK QUALITY: The quality is way better than I thought it would outweigh my functional concerns, but probably no other square is needed for jewelry of this size.1. The outer square is very strong, with strong cardboard, securely covered with heavy fabric and reinforced at the edges/seams/corners2. Strong base with a strong, heavy-duty plate that you place on the floor3. 4 rows of durable cardboard with an interlayer4. The same durable fabric-covered box with reinforced top edges5. Strong, well-fitted handle6. I only wish there was a strap or latch to secure the lid, it snaps in place nicely, but I'd prefer an absolute lid rather than just sitting on it. Zipper, snap, flap, drawstring, you name it. Problems with functions: The size of the squares is absurdly small. They only fit the smallest of my Christmas baubles, a few handmade ornaments, and soft punishing ornaments, all with no room for fabric. I'm not a big fan of jewelry. Every year I celebrate life milestones and special memories with decorations to match, so most of them are small or medium in size. I don't like big decorations because the branches for that are very limited on a real tree. However, this doesn't even fit in my smallest signature piece, the birdwatching piece I received this year, the box is the smallest of my boxed pieces, it's way too big for this square. Yes, I can remove the rows to make them larger, but the cardstock protects the decorations and makes the square stronger. Also, I already have older similar boxes where I took that route and defeated the goal, now it's just boxes. I wanted good storage for my most beautiful jewelry, none fit. Even small jewelry that fits cannot be wrapped in fabric. Seriously, a 1.5 inch snowman wrapped in fabric didn't fit. So I cut a piece of fabric to wrap around once. It's well made, very durable, attractive, protective. But only for the smallest jewelry in limited shapes. It's a great box, but if you have to take most of the cardboard protection off to adjust the decorations, it's not so good. Make at least one layer of large squares for a regular ball or box with distinctive features. Or make a set of two, one is like this and the other is larger and fits fewer decorations but fits larger than the average regular Christmas bauble!

Pros
  • β–ΊEasy to attach and remove Christmas decorations.
Cons
