My first Mac Book had a DVD burner/reader, a few USB ports and an SD card port. Yes, it was thicker and a bit heavier, but it was a general store and I liked it. In 2018 I was hired for a photo assignment in New York that included creating presentations as well as photo editing. My trusty old Mac Book ran out of storage and was terribly slow for image editing, so I settled on the Mac Book I'm using now. To my surprise, my old computer doesn't have any of the useful tools I used to like - RATS! But it's fast and I've used it to publish a weekly newsletter that has all of its input in the cloud. However, I still take digital pictures, so I needed a way to upload files from an SD card to this computer. Revan to the rescue! This product has all the missing ports that I love on my old computer. I particularly like the input for the SD card. In fact, since the review of this product, the old, beloved Mac Book has been sitting on the shelf. If you want the ins and outs this app offers, go for it. It's well done. The cable is long enough but not too long. A useful and inexpensive accessory for modern Mac books - highly recommended.
