Review on 11.6" Notebook DELL INSPIRON 3162 (1366x768, Intel Celeron 1.6 GHz, RAM 2 GB, HDD 500 GB, Linux) by Ada Chlebicka ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There are pros and cons, think before buying.

Claims only to the keyboard and not very long battery life. Otherwise, it suits me completely. With its pros. Very beautiful (I have a red one). The speakers are wonderful, 2-2.5 times stronger than the Acer Aspire, with which I had to constantly sit in the headphones. Does not heat up! Generally! Acer could only be placed on a book, directly on your knees - impossible. With its cons. The keyboard is terrible! 3 just because of this! I specifically took a diagonal of 11.6, because on such laptops the keyboard is the same as the usual one, it was the same in my previous Acer Aspire, but not here! Dell has a smaller than standard keyboard! If you take the line from "F" to "E", then by as much as 1.5 cm. Please note if you need a computer for work and if your work is related to writing texts, like mine. My fingers don't hit the right keys and I don't know how long it will take to relearn. The question is, why, if I specifically bought such a computer size so that I didn’t have to retrain! Doesn't Dell understand how important the blind 10-finger method is to some professions? What was the purpose of making these unnecessary gaps on the sides, reducing the size of the keyboard? So indicate in the product description then that the keyboard does not match, and there would be no claims. Further. The keyboard has a strange sensitivity, which, unfortunately, cannot be adjusted in any way. In 20% of cases, the buttons simply do not work. Apparently, this computer is for men who are used to hitting, and not gently pressing. But why is it red then? I don't know how some batteries last 11 hours. I charge several times a day. At the same time, the screen brightness is only 30% and only Word and dictionaries in the browser work, but sometimes movies. The thing is, probably, in the pre-installed antivirus, which eats almost the entire RAM and, accordingly, the battery charge.
