I bought this primarily to use as a clock and charging station for my iPhone 6. I wasn't worried about the alarm clock or the radio functions as the iPhone's alarm clock works fine. I wanted us to be able to see the time and charge the phone. I'm very disappointed that the phone doesn't even fit with a minimalist bumper case (Maxboost® [Clear Cushion] iPhone 6 (4.7) Case Bumper). I had to cut off the bottom of the case to connect the damn thing. I will look for another bumper case with a fully opening bottom. EDIT: I have since ordered a case adapter for iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5/5s/5c, iPad Air and all Lightning accessories; Lightning male to male adapter for full functionality. CableJive's DockStubz for Lightning, an extension cable that allows me to connect my phone with a case to a docking station. I will update after it arrives. I'm still not happy that I had to spend nearly $20 just to get this docking station working. Further edit: I got the Stubz Dock Extender. It works, but is far from ideal. It's too big and lifts the phone almost three quarters of an inch. Without the support rail on the dock, I would be concerned that the lever could damage the inside of the iPhone. This potential problem gets worse with the iPad. All I need is less than a quarter of an inch. And annoyingly, the extension detaches from the dock when I take the phone out, so I have to take it off the phone and put it back in the dock. I've tried other adapters, notably the 8 o'clock upgrade lightning extender dock, which lasted a month and fell apart, causing the connector to get stuck in the phone. I looked for a case with an open slot on the bottom but couldn't find one. .So many things have to be done to make something work the way it should from the factory. Edit 2017-01-10: Two months ago the dock connector stopped working. The phone will not connect at all to charge or update the watch. I recharge my phone from the cable and look at the clock, which is one hour behind daylight saving time. Unless you want a watch that only lasts a few years, stay away from this thing.
