What happened to this brand?

I have attached a picture of a pair of socks of the same brand/type in ONE SIZE bought 5 years ago (above) and a pair I bought recently (below). The new pair is thinner, smaller, doesn't fit, and doesn't maintain proper alignment for more than a few steps. It spins around my leg like a windmill. So annoying. The old ones were great and I'm sad that No Nonsense's cost-cutting efforts resulted in that.
