Great inexpensive radio! in personal radios

I bought this radio primarily to listen to local talk shows and hockey games while doing chores or mowing the lawn and it works great! Like most people, I use my smartphone to listen to internet radio, streaming and podcasts, but sometimes it's good to have a good old radio handy! It may seem silly, but the ads that the iHeartRadio and Radio.com apps play are completely different than the ones that play real radio stations, and that annoys me. I want to hear local advertising and information, not the same commercials from PPE and insurance companies over and over again. Also, the apps greatly delay live broadcasts, sometimes by a few minutes. So if you listen to sports, an old-school radio will do. All the headphones I own have excellent reception. I don't think the music on this FM band sounds that bad either, but be aware that this is a regular under $15 radio, not a $60 Sangean. If you're looking for a higher quality listening experience and more options, look no further than premium radios. Headphones are also required to listen to this radio. It doesn't have a built-in speaker. Apparently some reviewers didn't know about it when they bought it. My only concern is that programming and controlling the radio isn't that easy to use, but it's not that difficult to get to grips with either. a bit patience. This radio is very basic but works great and the rechargeable battery is a bonus! For the price this is a must have if you are looking for it in the market. It's size, reliability and easily rechargeable battery also makes it a great addition to your emergency kit in the event of a power outage or when planning a camping trip.
