If you do not purchase from a reputable retailer then you cannot receive a guaranteed genuine product. I bought these for my six year old son and his feet are constantly so smelly that I had to wash his feet twice a day after school. And I had to put the shoes in the garage. I bought the same pair from Zappos and his feet smell perfect. I took 2 photos side by side and compared 2 shoes. They certainly feel different, but I'm no Uggs expert. All I know is that my son complained about very hot feet and a terrible smell. Other than that, they seemed like a good pair of boots. I would never have felt the difference if it hadn't smelled so bad. My son's feet don't usually smell bad. The fur was thicker than Zappos', but not as authentic. Revain is amazing since I am sending them back. Your customer service is top notch. Counterfeiting is such a huge industry, be careful with any product you buy.
