This dress was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure if it would suit my body type as I have a lot of weight in my stomach and arms. The dress is beautifully constructed and has a good weight and lining. I figured I'd need a hoop skirt underneath so it doesn't lay completely flat on the floor, but the thicker lining means it keeps its shape like it does in the photos, which is lovely (I didn't just want to buy a hoop skirt to wear this). I ordered black and navy blue. They're both good, but the navy blue stands out more for some reason, and my husband and I both agreed it was better than the black (which looked a bit funeral). As for the size, I wasn't sure which to order and chose 2xl as I wear 18. It fits perfectly. 1x would definitely not fit. The front of the dress is low-cut, but I tried it on with a regular strapless bra and the bra wasn't showing at all (which bothered me in the pictures). I also tried regular nude bra but you can really see the straps and it doesn't look good at all. So I recommend a strapless bra (or no bra, if you can get away with it). And it helps hide my tummy so that's a plus too.
