The colors are great! Easy to use even for those who have never used this type before! It took my daughter a few tries to learn how to use the blending pen, the thick paper they send is really good and dries very quickly, she practiced on regular paper with a water pen first to try it herself convenient to do, and usually used too much water and ended up in a mess, but as long as she didn't use a water pen, she can use regular pens on plain paper without wet paper. She really loves these! (The other comments are also correct, the colors are NOT written on the pens. My daughter doesn't care because she keeps the ones she doesn't currently use in a case, but thought I'd mention it)
