I read in the reviews that the closure is difficult and that's why I bought this one. My friend rolled in the grass more than once, undoing the clasps of traditional ties. Luckily I never leave her alone on the street, and I managed to reconnect her before she even knew she was free. The clasp on this tie prevents such accidents as it has to be pulled out to unhook. I feel much safer with her in the garden. Still, I don't leave her alone, but I don't bite my nails when she wants to wallow.
