This thing was cute for about 2 days but now I'm really mad I spent $18 on it. The button that controls the light/humidifier stopped working properly after 2 uses. You should be able to use the humidifier with or without the lights on. On the third day of use I couldn't turn off the light when using the humidifier, which is annoying because I don't like the light on when I'm trying to sleep. Also, it smells horribly moldy after multiple uses and I cleaned it thoroughly after each use! I even soaked it in white vinegar to get rid of the mildew smell but to no avail. I can't even use it as a humidifier anymore because my whole room smells awful. I guess I will only use it as a light for my room from now on as it would be a shame to throw out something I JUST bought for $18. Don't be fooled by how cute this is because I promise the novelty will wear off in a few days.
