Many years ago I had an electrolysis hair removal kit and the needle that came with it lasted a long time. It was very strong and when inserted into the hair shaft you could feel it retracting a little and making a clicking sound. But let's talk about these tips. It's more like thread than a needle and bends easily! I don't force it, I just keep trying until it's lightly penetrating the hair shaft. My device makes NO sound when it kills hair so I just leave it there for a minute. The main downside is that I only get an hour session, or if I'm lucky maybe two sessions for a tip. One of the tips that came with the kit was already bent. The replacement lasted this one session. Good thing I ordered a spare box when ordering the kit because I read the reviews. I then did 3.5 sessions of two changes before both fit, so I sent those two back for an equal exchange. Trying to smooth them out with tweezers was a joke. Today I opened new replacement devices and also sent them back for exchange. I really like the device and it works, so I keep it to myself. I hate returning tips, but you can't use the device without a tip.
