Satin Silk-like is not satin or silk, but polyester. Polyester dries hair. I was trying to save some money by purchasing this scarf based on the reviews. This product feels comfortable and the scarf is very beautiful. The colors are beautiful and don't fade. However, this is not a hair scarf, especially if you are African American. I used this scarf to wrap my hair and had to oil my hair every morning, especially around the edges and the back of my head. I will use the scarf as an accessory but not for the hair.
