Got advantages: 1. Aesthetics 2. Socket count and USB 3. "Chinese" plugs can be connected without the use of an adapter. has drawbacks A step-down transformer hums when connected to USB load sockets; the hum is not noticeable at 1 A but begins at 2 A.
