Getting used to less water

Replaced the 2.5 which had the diverter turned on its side so probably dispensed significantly more (didn't know until I took it off). I connected this new head to a check valve for use in lathering. I've used a lot of pipe thread sealant and haven't had any issues with leaks. This head produces a reasonably organized spray. The pressure is not great and it took me about 2 months to get used to the reduced flow. One trick is to make the water hotter than with a more powerful shower. Since it doesn't hit you as hard, you can tolerate hotter water and you'll feel a lot better. When checking the water temperature before entering the water, place your hand at waist level, not directly on your head. I get just as clean, although rinsing takes a little longer and requires more hand rubbing. My wife never liked it but she put up with it. I chose not to try to demineralize it because it just isn't that good. Replaced it with Alson's 1.85 GPM - a huge improvement. Also uses a little more water but feels like twice as much. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017ZB98O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
