The American Standard shower head was just what I needed. Color matched perfectly, easy to install, works great! Very satisfied!

We love these good bathroom fixtures

we have them in all our showers. We thought our teenagers were fighting over them, but they didn't seem to notice much of a difference. I like that our teens are using less water now that they are in the shower. We have had her for 6 months now. After six months we may notice a difference in our water bills as well as our sewage bills. I think they are worth the money.

Pros
  • well built
Cons
  • awkward

Simple Showerhead - Simple Design = Less Effort

This is the simplest water-saving showerhead, but also the least problematic. If water is to be saved somewhere, then the shower is the right place for it. Trying to conserve water with a toilet is much more difficult. The shower head is easy to install and effective. Please note that it may not come with a rubber seal. You will probably need to purchase this separately if you find water leaking from the threaded joint even if you use teflon tape on the threaded joint.

Pros
  • There's Something To It
Cons
  • Some Problems

Purchased to replace a previous US standard shower head that my maintenance staff stole during a water saving 'RENEW' shower head. The previous shower head, discarded during the upgrade, had a 1.0 GPM flow rate, but this one is 1.5 GPM. This head doesn't have the invigorating feel my old one had which almost felt like a fire hose nozzle! I'm taking off a star because it didn't work the way I hoped.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Concerns me

Superb after modification

My kids in college have this showerhead and my son said it had a good stream. We used an irrigator which I drilled for more water flow. We love how it sprays, but I really couldn't get used to the light spray. I drilled out the disc to save water and now it works great. Doesn't save much water, but I don't want to stand in the shower forever trying to flush the water out. Good shower head if flared out to save water. I've ordered another one as a spare in case they stop making them. It's so…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Getting used to less water

Replaced the 2.5 which had the diverter turned on its side so probably dispensed significantly more (didn't know until I took it off). I connected this new head to a check valve for use in lathering. I've used a lot of pipe thread sealant and haven't had any issues with leaks. This head produces a reasonably organized spray. The pressure is not great and it took me about 2 months to get used to the reduced flow. One trick is to make the water hotter than with a more powerful shower. Since it…

Pros
  • Normal price
Cons
  • Has disadvantages
