Review on Renewed Logitech K800 Wireless 💡 Illuminated Keyboard: Brighter, Better, and More Convenient by Anand Lal ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

When you read some reviews, you get the feeling that people either didn’t see this keyboard at all, or stood and clapped it in the store, and now they are sitting at home writing reviews to reassure themselves that this keyboard is extremely unsuccessful and not worth buying. Because: either their keys are erased, or the capslock diode is of the wrong color, or the keystroke is bad, or there are cheaper analogs . Well, well . I don’t know how to use it to erase the keys, since I can use it be considered extremely active; the keys work perfectly softly and nothing has changed over time, but if anyone needs a hard “clack”, go to the store for steelseries mechanical keyboards; but as for cheaper analogues, this made me smile, because there are simply no analogues (i. E. "full-size backlit wireless keyboard") in retail, which one is cheaper . Based solely on my experience, I can say that the keyboard is excellent and even worth its current price. The only thing I advise when buying is to look at it well, evaluate the layout, evaluate the stroke and comfort of the keys, in order to simply understand whether the keyboard is right for you. And don't worry about the quality, it's decent for Logitech products!

Pros
  • The workmanship is top notch: gaps, squeaks in the working area, no flaws in the course of the keys were found Perfect key cover: I have been using it for more than 4 months, and very actively. For both work and play. Nothing has been erased and the keys do not even shine, as some speakers who hide their data are outraged here. (WASD keys and space, I deliberately considered for a long time before writing a review) The most beautiful ergonomics: the size, shape and layout of the keyboard that are ideal for me, the soft and quiet keystroke (it has not lost its softness in 4 months), the ideal arrangement of multimedia keys (all of them are located on the F1-F12 keys and work through a combination with the FN button (as on laptops) - an extremely convenient solution, 3 volume keys and a calculator are placed separately, they are located above the digital block) Excellent work in wireless mode (but I advise you to use the complete extension cable). I use the keyboard to actively play online shooters (Battlefield, Call of Duty) and I don’t feel any embarrassment, perfect response, perfect reaction, all conceivable and inconceivable key combinations are perfectly recognized, nothing sticks, i. E. the keyboard is ideal for games (except perhaps without macros, but I don’t need them) Good battery life: on native batteries - ~ 7 hours of mixed work per day for ~ 5 days, then turns into a wired keyboard for ~ 2 hours (charges) and again ~ 5 days, for me, these are excellent indicators. Yes, and it is possible to replace the complete weak batteries: on the underside of the keyboard, a cover is held on one screw, hiding two AA batteries - I put 2800 mAh instead of 2022 standard ones and the operating time increased by ~ 2 days with the same ~ 7 hours of work per day Sensor - turns on the backlight when you bring your hands to the keyboard and turns off the backlight when you remove them or when there is sufficient daylight, an extremely useful thing that saves batteries and is actually convenient in everyday use
Cons
  • The biggest minus of the keyboard: Small left shift and a duplicate "\" button, but you get used to this minus pretty quickly (and after a month, when you get used to the small shift, you realize that the "\" button is not superfluous and you start using it in games =) Weak complete batteries (Eni Time Ni-MH 1.2 V 2022mAh) Overpriced in 2022 retail (I took it for exactly 3000), but after a long experience of using it, I can say with confidence that the current 4000-4200 is completely worth it.
