The microphone itself is very good and well packaged. It fits perfectly and records good audio on my Samsung Galaxy J7 Star (Android 9) phone. Unfortunately I have to unplug my phone to play the recording. Playback is silent until I unplug the cable, whereupon the audio starts playing immediately. The same happens with the two included cables. If I need to unplug my phone, I can't use this mic on a Zoom call that requires audio recording and audio playback at the same time. One more thing. I was hoping this mic would be louder than the phone's built-in mic, but it isn't. The volume is indistinguishable. There is no microphone gain adjustment on this phone. Since I haven't seen other posts about this issue, I assume the defect is related to my phone and not the microphone. Cables are probably not the cause since I've tried both. However, this doesn't work for my intended application, so I'm sending it back.
