Our 15 year old daughter kept spotting my old record player in the attic and asking if she could start it. In the digital age, it's not that easy. I had to get a receiver, a set of speakers and all that. So instead I took a set of low power monitors we had at home and hooked up that preamp to the turntable. Works very well, the sound is very tight and even. The preamp gain isn't really a volume control, but by balancing the volume on the active monitors I was able to get it to work really well. Belarri sounds very good, very balanced and flat. small area too which is great
