Description of ๐ŸŽต Bellari VP549 Phono Preamplifier: Superior Sound Amplification for Audiophiles!

The RIAA equalization curve was intended to operate as the global industry standard for records since 1954. However, it is almost impossible to say when the change actually took place. Reducing the low frequencies also limits the excursions the cutter needs to make when cutting a groove. Groove width is thus reduced, allowing more grooves to fit into a given surface area. This also reduces physical stress on the stylus which might otherwise cause distortion or groove damage during playback. Item package weight: 2.0 pounds.

Never thought of it

After some research I decided to go for a separate phono stage and chose Bellari. I'm glad I have decent gear (a Rotel preamp with a built-in phono stage). It sounds like my turntable had a sock pulled off it. Significantly more lively/open sound than built-in. If you're considering a split I think it's a decent place to start, I'm sure there are better ones out there but for the money it would be hard to beat in sheer value.

Pros
  • hands-free mode
Cons
  • very expensive

Wonderful product and at a very reasonable price.

Great stuff. My records sound fantastic again. The music has a warmth and depth that was missing when my turntable was plugged directly into my receiver's phono input. I've been using Bellari for a few weeks now and the sound is so good I'm playing album after album because the improvement in sound quality brings out things in the music that used to be a bit lost or confused. my Ortofon 2M Blue pickup sings wonderfully. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some problems

Good sound Durable for home theater

Our 15 year old daughter kept spotting my old record player in the attic and asking if she could start it. In the digital age, it's not that easy. I had to get a receiver, a set of speakers and all that. So instead I took a set of low power monitors we had at home and hooked up that preamp to the turntable. Works very well, the sound is very tight and even. The preamp gain isn't really a volume control, but by balancing the volume on the active monitors I was able to get it to work really well.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No show

Probably the best preamp in terms of value for money.

I was looking for cheap preamps and I was looking for expensive preamps. The expensive ones are amazing but well out of the price range of those trying to break into the audiophile world and the cheap ones are known to be pretty good bang for the buck until you stop liking them. This one is right in the middle and I couldn't be happier with it. Built like a tank in the USA and carefully packaged in a sleek white box. My recordings sound crystal clear again and my listening experience is noโ€ฆ

Pros
  • also understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • some little things

Good but not so good

I've had it for a few weeks now and I'm not quite in love with this preamp. Before the VP549 I had a DJ Pre II and since I switched to the VP549 it's humming more, I've already checked everything and even plugged the DJ Pre back in and it's completely silent. I gotta tell you, at $150 it was a bit of a shame because here I thought I was going from a $60 preamp to a $150 preamp and I got this buzzing sound. Also, the grounding is not the same as in turntables or other preamps. Although the build

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Nothing here
