Received yesterday and immediately disappointed and threw away the inedible toast. The toaster should toast the bread evenly on both sides! It seems easy, doesn't it? The darkness setting/temperature control just doesn't work! The first toast was thrown away because at 3 it was burned on one side and barely toasted on the other. The second piece on level 2 was brown on one side and barely toasted on the other. Is this a problem built into bagel toasters? My frustration has doubled because I bought 2 toasters this week and they both have this problem. Come on, companies, make toasters so the toasts are even! Isn't that the job of toasters! I've spent hours reading reviews trying to find a replacement - why doesn't anyone make quality toasters?
