I use this in order to hook up the Mayflash F500 arcade stick to the PS4 without having to connect the physical Dual Shock controller. That's all I use it for, so can't comment on anything else but it does that one job perfectly. Just plug it into the back of the stick, boot up the console, press the home button on the stick, and you're all set. Great product!
