Despite the poor design, this bandage is mainly good as both icing and knee brace. So three stars. That's why I'm deducting two stars: the instructions say to freeze the gel pack flat, but when it's completely frozen it won't fit properly in the sleeve. The seams at the top of the gel pack sleeve limit the opening and inserting the gel pack is not possible without tearing the fabric until it thaws and can be folded. I need support on the side of my knee for the tendon, and no matter how tight I wrap the velcro straps, the gaps between the braces are where I need the most support.
