Review on 🔧 Enhanced Performance Shifter Bushing Kit by Prothane 16-1602 by Matthew Nunez

I installed this on my 2010 Forester 5mt even though the install manual said it wouldn't work. Lately I've been missing shift gates due to worn bushings and this has noticeably improved shifting accuracy. This made my switch a bit more angular and it also increased the noise a bit. It doesn't really matter, although after about a week I don't notice it anymore. A month later it's still working great. The rear pillar was quite difficult to install. The surface where the rear mounting bolts mount is slightly curved on my car but the bracket is not, but this kit still works. With a little ingenuity I was able to use a socket extension to slightly curve the rear bracket relative to the metal surface to allow the bolt to thread properly. Once tightened it looked like a perfect fit and held the shifter assembly in place.
