I haven't bought these socks but am looking for socks for alpine skiing. All of you who purchased these socks can help me by telling me where I'm wrong.1. I learned as a young boy that if you wanted to have warm feet the worst thing you could do is put cotton socks on. Cotton is not that warm. And it holds moisture which guarantees that your feet will be cold.2. As a skier I've learned that thick socks are the worst. If your boot was fitted for a 'thick' sock you will find that after a few hours of skiing the boot no longer fits right, but is sloppy due to the compressibility of cotton and the thickness of it.3. These socks are as expensive as socks with merino wool, a far more expensive material than cotton, which if bought as 'thin' will not change how your boot fits after a few hours and wool wicks moisture away from your foot keeping it dry and warm.4. Cotton is soft and 'comfy.' But for warmth and non-compressibility you couldn't pick a worse material. What am I missing? I'd like to hear from the manufacturer/seller as well.
