On August 3, 2021 we set the container aside and used about half a cup for regular washing. The next morning I found a gallon or more of teal laundry detergent in a 6 foot leak on our laundry floor. When the container was upright, it didn't leak. Pulling out the detergent and using it like we've done so many times before seemed normal. It took us three days to dry the rugs in the laundry room and clean up the mess. There is still detergent under our washing machine. The crack in the container was approximately 2.5 cm long. Today I ordered another Kirkland container. Someone owes me a $40.16 credit for whoever caused the problem.
