Fast growth but not a thicker nail

I drank a whole bottle and my nails grew surprisingly fast but I can't say they got any stronger. They still broke and splintered, but that might be because I have to hold gum longer. I usually wear gel nails so they are weaker than usual but with Covid19 I am trying to grow them stronger as the salons are still closed.
