First Look and Proper Use 125V 15A Switch Socket

2-11-21IS6A450, Type 3SPD, Yellow, 6 Switch Sockets, 1200J, 14 AWG, 6 ft Wire Size, 13 7/8"D 2 1/2" "W 1 5/8" Purpose: DIY network cabinet, switching power supply for network switch, NAS, other network equipment. I just received the yellow CRST power strip and used it for testing. Power switch for each outlet. First impression: body: the aluminum feels solid enough, the rivets hold it together If you want to change or repair it later it shouldn't be too difficult to drill out the rivet and make repairs Power cord: the cord seems adequate, quite heavy, with an angled 3- Pin plug not secure, feels and looks worse than an extension cord or case. Time will tell. Easy enough to replace if it fails. Fits snugly in the case, and neither Appliance or plug was an issue during installation and each was firmly and securely attached. Power Switch: This is the weakest part of the GRST power strip, the switches feel flimsy and feel like they are floating when turning on and off. Time will tell if they hold up. However, in a metal case, the switch is easily replaced with a better one. Wall mounting holes: one at each end of the extension in the black plastic part of the case. I like the little green meter, you know. immediately when you apply power to the power strip before you turn on the main switch. It also indicates that the protection circuits are working. The extension cord is not too big and the outlet spacing is 11/16 inches, so most appliance plugs should fit. I think they could make it an inch shorter without changing the connector. Distance would be better for my application but 13 7/8" L isn't too bad. Looking forward to completing my network closet, installing this extension in a new house and using it for many years without problems. 4 stars due to weak switches and light plug I will update this review once it is installed and has been in use for a few months.
