We were looking to hook up an outside antenna I had moved from my previous house but found we had forgotten to remove the ground block from the back of my house as we had left everything to talk for the new homeowner. Ouch. I completely forgot until I saw this grounding block recently and immediately realized we forgot to remove it along with the antenna. A grounding block is required to dissipate static electricity and prevent unwanted lightning strikes. So very easy to install. Be sure to connect to a suitable ground spike! When installing a grounding rod (sold separately at most wood supply stores). If the soil is too dry and hard, we leave the hose nearby with a very slow stream for a couple of hours and into the hole screwed with the rod as far as possible, the soil was softened straight up!
