Bad Smell: Home Decor Products

I bought three of these candles for my aunt (who lives in another state in the country I live in) who has severe mobility issues and is wearing a colostomy bag due to her cancer treatment . She asked for good-quality, nice-smelling candles to help reduce odor when she and her caregiver change bags. I bought Balsam & Cedar, Lavender, and Sparkling Cinnamon Candles because I figured each candle would offer a pleasant and varied scent depending on my mood. She was delighted with the package and quickly tried each of the candles. Both she and her caregiver noted that all three candles smelled "cheap," they said, "they smell like Lysol," and resembled "dollar-quality candles." I am extremely disappointed. I expect more from Yankee Candle (a brand I have personally used in my own home and usually have a high opinion), I expect better quality from candles that cost over $10 each. At the very least, I expect the scents of each candle to be different from each other. Now my aunt is stuck with three horrible smelling candles that she won't use and I think we can all agree that if you prefer the smell of human waste to an air freshening product, the situation must be bad.
