To be honest I was blown away by the high quality of these bins despite paying so little for them. Gray is a nice plain gray, not too tanned. I was concerned they might be an odd shade as it's hard to tell exactly how the color would look in real life in a picture, but it turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for , namely just an old gray. They currently keep my shoes in the hallway of my house. Super useful and also charming.
