Good protection for the ears but not for the hairline

I hate swimming caps and since I want to swim more I thought I might buy this headband to keep my hairline dry as I don't fall headfirst into the water , but only walk on water. However, I found that it kept slipping when I wore it around the house and the Velcro didn't feel comfortable, so I didn't try using it in the pool. If you're looking for a semi-waterproof bike or kayak headband to protect your ears or headphones, this might be for you. That wasn't my goal, so I'm going back.
