Great CAC reader, worked on my MacBook for the first time. Easy driver installation. For that they have a driver download on their website for those with laptops that may not have a drive. First go to the website that comes with the guide. Download the driver, restart your MacBook. After downloading again, connect the reader, insert the card, it works! If you are a US Department of Defense civilian contractor or a member of the military who needs to use a CAC card reader, I highly recommend this model. It is safe and fast to read data. That's exactly what I need. Inexpensive, compact and functional. I ordered it because my previous CAC readers were unreliable. I had to wiggle the card and put it in a certain way to make it work, and each day I lost about 10 minutes of work to get it working (much like old NES game cartridges that you had to fiddle with to get them to work to get started). This new element worked right away and reads the card immediately. worth your money. It's been about a week and no problems! It works very well with my Mac OS system, data transfer is fast and the cable is the right length. They don't extend the cable's actual lifespan due to losses: cost, signal loss, electrical noise, and annoying tangles. If I find any problems I will keep updating. So far I like it very much.
