The kit itself is well built, but it's not a permanent part of the recording kit. When you park, the camera will stay on until the battery reaches 11.6V. Basically turn off the car, the camera is off. Be careful when using the fuse box, it may damage your OEM fuse box. However, I wouldn't hesitate if you don't need a parking mode like me. I would like this to be stated in the product description prior to purchase. Instead I went back to Garmin and got the parking package they offer.
