I was initially hesitant to buy because of what people had said in previous reviews. It's there though, I've placed it at the top of the screen because that's where you touch more than the small gap visible in the palm of the screen. It protects the areas of the screen you touch 99.9% of the time. So in that regard it works well and it feels very thick and will hopefully last a long time.
