Works as advertised.
Re-synchronizing the Nikon P1000 camera with the remote every time the camera is turned off is tedious, but better than shaking the camera while trying to close the shutter at maximum zoom activate. Activating the P1000 lens motor at or near maximum zoom, even when using the remote control, causes noticeable camera shake when recording video. Perhaps adding a weight hanging from the center of the tripod would help mitigate those vibrations, or installing a tripod to support the bottom of the fixed part of the lens.
