Before a recent trip to Europe we thought about buying a case of wine but decided to try this instead. We bought two 4-packs and returned home with 8 bottles of wine intact. My husband and I packed 4 bottles of wine in hard cases. As an extra measure, we put all our clothes on one side of the suitcase, put wine bottles on it, closed that half of the suitcase, filled the other half with cosmetics and other things, and then closed the suitcase. This left the wine bottles in the middle of our suitcases, stuffed with clothes and other items. My only concern was that the zippers on our suitcases might not hold up, so in the future I also secured the suitcases with straps for extra security. But the cases held out and the Wine Wings protected the bottles. Thanks to the double zips and fold down velcro closure I was sure that if the bottles broke the wine would stay in the Wine Wings but nothing broke! When I put the bottles away, the Wine Wings stayed together so I could reuse them. I highly recommend.
