Great working and causal gaming monitor, however have an IPS monitor

Bought for WFH and casual Xbox Series S. I was surprised to get the IPS version. I actually prefer IPS, but some people don't. I split the test between WFH and casual gaming: OFFICE USE Pros: - Wide viewing angles - Stable, accurate colors - HDMI allows easy connection to laptops - VESA - High resolution allows you to display "more" on the screen at the same time - Adjustable screen with flyers etc. Cons: - not sure which panel you can get (<-large) - no speakers - thick dummy frame - non-adjustable stand While reviewing some of these cons I won't be photographing the stars as I do knew before buying the monitor. You have to find out which panel they are sending. Overall, this is a great monitor for the office and WFH. GamingPros - Freesync compatible (48-75) via HDMI - FPS counter built into monitor - Low input lag - Low pixel response time - 1440 pCon - 75Hz only - No HDRP Ideal for Xbox Series S Was surprised to see that this monitor supports Freesync as well as has an FPS counter. Tested on Xbox One and Series S, everything works great. While it's no match for my 144Hz LG gaming monitor, it's enough to start some gains. As with the WFH section, although I place articles in the con section, they are to be expected, so no stars. TLDR This is a good monitor to work with as the resolution allows windows/programs to be displayed simultaneously and IPS offers good viewing angles and colors. Good for everyday PC/Xbox Series S gaming as the 1440p screen is high resolution for the distance you are sitting and the refresh rate is well suited for these devices (the Series S in particular). Low pixel blur and low input lag. Overall a good monitor for work/gaming for the price.

Pros
  • great addition to my other monitor for work. It was very easy to set up and very light.
Cons
  • Screen Tearing: This occurs when the monitor's refresh rate is too slow, causing the image to appear choppy or distorted.
