The new version is narrow for shovels, not recommended.

The old version of this hook was wider and much better. This new version from Amazon is narrow, making it great for narrow-handled things like a broom, but not something with a thicker handle like a shovel or landscape rake. I would recommend that you find another provider with an older version.
