As people have mentioned, the zipper is on the left side. Overall the vest fits and feels nice, and I appreciate the checkered liner for sure. I'm 5'11, 177lbs, athletic build, and the vest fits very nicely. For those saying the vest is 'too puffy,' then why did you order a vest that is clearly puffy? I think the amount of puffiness for what I was looking for is just right. Time will tell if the quality holds for any length, but for the price I am happy so far; no holes in the pockets or anything of the sort.
