UPDATE: This is a very warm jacket. Early last winter I was disappointed when the zipper came loose. The winter wasn't particularly cold, so I had to deal with a jacket that was constantly unbuttoned at the bottom. So far I have forgotten about the problem - now I am looking for a quality warm jacket that will not last more than a winter and a half. I ordered a slightly larger size to fit my shoulders (1X instead of XL) so it runs a little big. But very warm. The Colorado winter was cold and kept me warm. In the 40s it was actually too hot for me. When the temperature was around 0 it was amazing. The down makes it very light and thin so it's still nice and keeps you warm. And the pockets are made of comfortable velor material, soft and warm. I'm 5'6" tall and it comes just above my knees, but it's still easy to ride in.
