Review on High-Performance Creality MKK Semi Assembled 3D Printer - 500x500x500mm by Cory Spence

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This thing is huge.

I give five because I already had an Ender 3 Pro so I could type and print quickly. The main thing to consider is its size. It takes more than a meter to move the build plate, maybe a full meter deep. If you don't have space, take a size 12/12. It should work on a regular desktop. I need a build area because I have a contract for 1000 pieces with a 3" OD and I need to produce at least 100 pieces per week. This printer is only for those who need a lot of area/volume or have extra money and are very tall. Be warned. My alignment knobs were so tight I had to get some pliers to tighten them. After cold leveling with two blades Paper (not one folded but two, thing is huge) and then heat leveling at 210°C / 50°C for PLA, then I fine tuned the printer using Thingiverse's CHEP alignment print. favorite place for it). New level controls for the CR-1-S5. Don't forget to set the voltage selector switch to 110V. It won't turn on (I found). My only complaint is the two sheets of film that miraculously appear on the glass surface in the video. I have no idea what they are for. I print PLA and PETG on glass with hair. pray. I will use nylon and carbon fiber/nylon. What are the properties of these panels and how to use them? Bottom line: the printer works great once it's properly aligned (see CHEP videos and Rigid Ink tutorials to get this all-important part right).
