The first problem was that the seals did not sit properly in the crimping tool. I expect 1/2" gaskets to work together on a 1/2" band with a 1/2" crimp. I had to use pliers to compress the seals a bit to fit the crimping tool. The second problem was that the gaskets were not crimped flat. All my fills are curved in the shape of the letter "T". Third, they didn't always keep the dishes. I'm not a small person, and I certainly crimped the damn thing all the way, but about 1/3 of the time the strap slipped a little.
