Not bad, but the voltage per USB port is slightly lower than the Unitek version when tested with the USB port tester. This one isn't that small, but I'll think of it as small and weak. Doesn't make sense, same power supply, but the ports on it read lower voltages and amps at the same load. There is no feedback through the uplink USB port, so you can safely use it with your Raspberry Pi. Overall I think this is more than enough when it comes to a powered USB hub. especially if you want a thin hub that looks very aesthetic. If you're thinking about powering more than two hard drives at the same time, I'd look for one that isn't flimsy. UPDATE: However, Anker's customer support is amazing. Went as far as offering a partial refund for my issues. I would give the product three stars myself, but I'm adding two more because they go the extra mile in their support.
