I wasn't sure if I would like the air fryer or would benefit much from it but I wanted to try it and made a good purchase during the last Revain sale days. Turns out I LOVE this thing. I cook for one, sometimes for two, and it's just the right size. At first I wasn't too impressed with the things most people make in a deep fryer like french fries but I started experimenting and WOW this machine makes really delicious catfish, chicken thighs, chicken breasts, tilapia, salmon, pork chops well. I treat it like a convection oven and it works for me. Words cannot describe how delicious, moist and fluffy a baked potato from the air fryer is. Also baked sweet potatoes. I rub them with avocado oil and the skin becomes like candy. I will never make potatoes or sweet potatoes any other way again. I reheat leftover pizza, make pot stickers, whatever, I'm ready to try. I love how the basket and lower basket come apart for cleaning. I see people on recipe sites complaining about their fryer smoking, but don't they clean it? I wash it both parts every time I use it, put it back and turn on the preheat for a few minutes to dry it - easy as pie. I wipe the heating element when the inside has cooled. The surface of the basket and under the basket is non-stick so things just bead up. You can put it in the dishwasher, which I once did, but I think anything that has a non-stick surface like pots and pans shouldn't be washed in the dishwasher, so I hand wash it, but that's it just my opinion. .
