The shoes themselves are excellent and will do the job, but when we unpacked them, the spikes on the inside (bow) of all shoes will come along with other parts of the shoe worn, giving the impression that they have been worn for an extended period of time before. I wasn't expecting to see so much normal wear and tear on a 'brand new' pair of shoes. Had I bought them for a real formal event and not as a Halloween costume accessory I would have been very disappointed to receive shoes that have already been worn.
