Replaced my Astrotec AM-90

Fair warning: I'm moderately deaf so what I hear is almost certainly different from what you hear and I can't judge the sound quality. is a. All I can tell you is that these are the first cheap IEMs I've found that sound the same as the Astrotec AM-90 IEMs I've used for so long that are no longer made. I'd really like someone with normal hearing to comment on the comparison between the Astrotec AM-90 and the Final E1000, but I know that's unlikely at the moment. me. The first test is the first YouTube search result for "Speech Sound Quality Test" by Red Robbo's Workshop; The first few minutes are the introduction, recorded in such a way that I can't make out a word of what he's saying with most in-ear headphones, but with my last remaining Astrotec AM-90 and Final E1000 I can make out every word. The second test is "Kammarheit - A Room Between The Rooms", which can also be found on YouTube; With the Astrotec AM-90 and Final E1000 I can both hear high frequency ping noise between deep basses, while many other IEMs I've tried reduce the ping so much that I can't hear it at all. I can make some IEMs sound - for me - like Astrotec AM-90 and Final E1000 with the EQ preset "Spoken Word" from the equalizer for Apple Music (iTunes) and other audio apps and found through some experimentation that I can need to boost the 2K and 4K ranges (what I think is called the upper mids) and take out the bass. I'm glad to have found another set of IEMs to use in situations where running equalizer software isn't possible. I had previously tried the more expensive FINal E2000 but it didn't have the upper mids I needed and I don't think the description of the more expensive E3000 fits either.
