I received the cable very quickly and thought it would be easy to fix my old mic cable which was worn out and had its insulation fall off but always still worked. The new cable was easy to install but when I reconnected the mic to the radio it didn't work at all. Careful inspection and comparison to my old cable revealed that the pinout on the RG-6 connectors was rolled exactly from the original old cable. Having access to an RG-6 crimping tool, I was able to cut off the factory connector and replace it myself, but was a little disappointed that it turned out that way. I wouldn't expect the average person to have a phone jack crimping tool at home. Bad quality control!
