Review on WALIKI Red Hopper Ball For Fun And Therapy: Jumping Hippity Hop For Ages 16-101 (29"/75CM) by Jason Taylor

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It was great for indoor use until it exploded.

My teenage son has high-functioning Autism so I bought this hopper for him to use indoors to save what's left of our living room furniture. With his sensory issues, he loves to bounce and clap. We don't have room for a trampoline in or outside of our house, so this seemed like a great solution for him to bounce indoors. I'd already been through like 3 other exercise balls so I thought something made for bouncing and for adults ages 16-101 would be perfect for my teenage 6ft. tall son. It arrived promptly and exactly as described, but it only lasted 2 months. It wasn't over inflated or under inflated (or seemed like it wasn't) but he was bouncing on it and it exploded. Luckily when he landed on his butt, he didn't hurt himself. The only thing I can think that happened was that it's defective and not made to last very long (as others have stated, it isn't strong enough for outdoor use on pavements, places that might have pebbles, rough surfaces) but I think perhaps the side of the ball came in contact with the air valve that is on the direct opposite side from the handle. Somehow maybe the valve touched the side and made it explode in half. The valve is hard plastic and about 2 inches in length extending into the inside of the ball. So if you do purchase this, make sure to keep it fully inflated. Either way, we are back to searching for a new solution to save our furniture.
