I bought these thinking I would use them with a Nema 4 outdoor plastic junction box, but there aren't enough threads on the cable gland to to hook the mother. I pushed hard on the rubber washer to catch a thread. If you hit one of the cable glands lightly, the nut breaks off because it is only on one thread. The only thing I think will work is a typical metal electrical box with very thin walls. The side that seals the wire seemed to fit snugly, which would have made this product good for me if it had an extra 1/8" thread.
